Swenson Ph.D. Dean of Library Services, will match the first $2,500 donated to the University Library. This challenge is a reflection of Dean Seo's deep commitment to the University Library and to the students, faculty, and staff it serves. Your support helps extend the impact of her leadership by investing in the library's future - supporting innovation, access, and student success for years to come.

University Library Future-Ready Cyclones Challenge
Technology evolves quickly, and so do the needs of Iowa State students. The University Library's Tech Lending program provides laptops, tablets, cameras, audio equipment, hotspots, and more so Cyclones can learn, create, and collaborate without barriers. For every 20 donors who give to the University Library Strategic Fund, a lead donor will unlock $1,000 to fund emerging technologies students need for their coursework, including gaming consoles and games used in Game Design and other classes that incorporate gaming into the curriculum. All Tech Lending equipment is accessible to every student and student organization. With your support, the University Library can continue to modernize its lending inventory, keeping pace with evolving technology and equipping Cyclones with the tools they need to be future-ready.

Barks @ Parks Well‑Being Challenge
Finals can be overwhelming, and Barks @ Parks gives students a much‑needed moment to breathe with therapy dogs, chair massages, and support from dedicated volunteers. The program introduces students to healthy coping strategies, like pet therapy and massage, to help manage stress. This year, we’re adding an extra dose of joy by including support for dog treats for the therapy pups who brighten students’ days. For every 12 donors who give any amount to the University Library Strategic Fund, a lead donor will unlock $1,200 to enhance the program. Challenge dollars will expand chair massage availability and help steward our furry friends’ people volunteers who make it all happen. Your support will help even more students feel supported, relaxed, and ready to finish the semester strong!
