We support student, faculty, and staff success by providing access to affordable course materials, scientific research, and expertise in research design, data management, and publishing. We share Iowa State research with the world via our online collections and data services. We foster critical thinking by instructing our users on how to locate, evaluate, and apply information effectively. And, we are the trusted caretakers of Iowa State University’s treasured history.

Cyclone Snack Break Challenge

50 donations in support of the University Library Forever True Day efforts will unlock a snack break for up to 500 students during Finals Week. The library hosts nearly 10,000 students a day during Prep and Finals Weeks. We provide places to focus, collaborate, recharge, and find support. Surprise snacks will help fuel success for our Cyclone scholars when they stop in Parks Library.

Hilary Seo, dean of the Iowa State University Library will match the first $2,500 donated to the University Library. Dean Seo has been with the University Library for more than twenty years. As dean she has helped strategically steer Parks Library into its next century of service and elevate offerings at the Veterinary Medical Library. Your gift will help the University Library continue to meet emerging student needs and empower library faculty and staff to be their best.

Double your impact and make your gift go further! Margot Tinner and Erich Hodges (‘13 dairy science and animal science, ‘19 DVM) will match the first $10,000 contributed to University Library with an additional $10,000 to help the library support student, faculty and staff success. The University Library consists of Parks Library on central campus and the Veterinary Medical Library in Patterson Hall in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
