Academic Success Center
The Academic Success Center (ASC) is the university-wide resource to help students succeed in the classroom, whether they are looking to ace their next test or paper, or getting paired with a tutor for the semester. The ASC serves over 9,000 students and delivers over 100,000 hours of academic support each year. Support for the ASC will enhance services offered to students to help them reach and achieve their academic goals.
Center for LGBTQIA+ Student Success General Fund
The Center develops academic and personal success, community and leadership for students at Iowa State.
Jack Trice Character Award
This scholarship honors the memory of Jack Trice, the first African-American Athlete at the then Iowa State College. Recipients of this award exemplify characteristics Jack embodied, such as courage and a commitment to helping others.
Margaret Sloss Women’s Center Fund
The Margaret Sloss Center for Women and Gender Equity at Iowa State University is committed to the development of a campus community that promotes gender equity. The Sloss Center advocates for individuals and groups; provides support and referrals; and offers programming and educational resources.
For close to 100 years, the Memorial Union has provided students and community members a place to host weddings and receptions, national speakers, amazing concerts, art classes, conferences and events. But most importantly, the MU provides students a second place to call home while attending college. Help the MU continue to make the upgrades and renovations needed to ensure that their 1.3 million annual visitors can enjoy the "living room of campus" for generations to come.
Multicultural Student Affairs General Fund
The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) supports and empowers Iowa State University students and advocates for their holistic development across the university.
Student Counseling Services
Student Counseling Services (SCS) provides confidential prevention, intervention, information and referral services to Iowa State students. Assistance is available for students coping with relationship problems, low self-esteem, stress, loneliness, depression, cultural differences, sexual assault recovery, childhood abuse, trauma, eating disorders, substance abuse, career/major, academic motivations and other concerns. Donor support helps ensure that most professional services are provided at no charge to students.
Students Helping Our Peers (SHOP)
Food insecurity is the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. According to ISU Student Wellness, an estimated 31% of ISU students are food insecure. The SHOP is a food pantry for Iowa State students with the mission to engage with anti-hunger advocates and serve the student population by increasing hunger awareness and food security. The SHOP is run by student volunteers and food is obtained through donations. This service is completely confidential.
Women in Science and Engineering Program
The Program for Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) Advances gender equity in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by inspiring, supporting and empowering current and future students to persist and thrive in their chosen STEM communities.
