This versatile fund will be used to support departmental programming and operations. Initiatives for men's and women's athletics at Iowa State include scholarships, equipment, travel, training, nutrition, mental health services and academic support. Your investment helps ensure excellence in the classroom and competition for over 450 Cyclone student-athletes.
The Iowa State University Women’s Athletics Fund
This fund supports our female student-athletes who compete in basketball, cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. Your investment will help provide excellence across all Cyclone women’s sports programs. June of 2022 marked the 50th anniversary of Congress passing Title IX prohibiting discrimination based on gender in athletics and education. Celebrate this landmark anniversary with a gift to women’s athletics at Iowa State and help develop future generations of female leaders!
The Jack Trice Endowed Football Scholarship
This scholarship is provided yearly to a student-athlete on the Iowa State football team who embodies Jack Trice’s traits of selflessness, leadership, dedication to the community and academic/athletic achievement. Jack Trice was the first African American student-athlete at then-Iowa State College and died from injuries sustained during a football game against the University of Minnesota on October 6, 1923. He is the namesake of Jack Trice Stadium, the 61,000-seat home of Cyclone football.
Iowa State University Spirit Squad
This fund gives support for nearly 100 students on the ISU Cheer, Dance or CY Mascot squads. These students privately fundraise over $175,000 yearly for travel, uniforms, choreography and music for routines and national competitions. Your gift will directly impact the success of these award-winning squads!
